Namitha has denied links with Liakath Ali
Namitha, one of the hottest actress in the south, has denied Liakath Ali’s statement that he had close links with her. Liakth Ali, known as kalyana mannan (King of Marriage) by the Tamil media here, disclosed many shocking secrets behind his marriages. Very recently Liakath Ali said that he close friendships with actresses like Nagma, Meena and Namitha. According to his statement, Namitha is one of these close friends amongst these actresses. This has shocked many in Tamil Cinema industry leading to question about her being associated with criminals.
In response to this, Namitha spoke out to the media. She said, “All these reports are rubbish. They are absolutely ridiculous. I have no connection with this trickster. I am willing to go to any court or go through any kind of interrogation to prove this. It is very easy for people to say that they know me or for that matter any other actress. It is up to the police to investigate and prove such statements right or wrong”. A visibly angry Namitha also added that such defaming news may tarnish her image as people coming across such rumours may sometimes believe them without thinking.
Relieved Namitha Was Rescued From The Podium
Namitha was mobbed on Sunday while she was taking part in a private function, a textile showroom launch, in Pudukottai near Trichy. She was surrounded by her avid fans who want to get a closer look and touch their heartthrob. It has been reported that some of them manhandled the actress, which caused her minor injuries.
As the actress was mobbed by her wild fans, she cried out for help. Since the organizers were unable to control the crowd, the local police immediately rushed to the spot and used mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd.
A relieved Namitha was rescued from the podium, and later she inaugurated the showroom. After that, she was sent back to her hotel to take rest.
Earlier, many leading actresses, including Jyothika, have had similar harrowing experiences while participating in private functions.
Namitha Looks More ‘CUTE’ Now
Namitha is shooting tirelessly at a grand set in AVM Studios with Ajith and Nayanthara for Billa. A remake of yesteryear classic titled the same featuring Rajnikanth. The movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan.
Taking time of her busy schedule, the actress says, “I play a glamorous role in Billa. I am happy that good offers are coming my way now. I am very happy, I derive satisfaction from doing such roles and at the end of the day, and I am elated to have done justice to them.
“I strongly believe that even by doing minuscule roles, I can garner the attention of movie buffs. However, my roles in movies including Aye and Chanakya had more scope for me to showcase my skill”.
Nayanthara on for clash with ‘Namitha’
Namitha and Nayanthara fought with each other at the sets of Billa at AVM Studios in Chennai. No, don’t get us wrong, it was all part of the shoot.
The shooting of Billa, a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth hit, was on at Chennai on Thursday. Scenes involving Nayanthara, Namitha and later Ajith were shot.
Director Vishnuvardhan and cinematographer Nirav Shah chose to shoot scenes involving a stunt sequence between Namitha and Nayanthara. Both crossed swords at each other. The fencing scenes between the two heroines were shot.
